Rush to the aid of RuneScapes founders in a brand new free-to-play quest to save Gielinor one cabbage at a time. Youre in for a wild ride in an adventure that has been co-designed by the Gower brothers themselves!

Also, prepare for the upcoming release of the new boss Telos with a pre-release event that lets you unlock a key to his door, right now.

Where to start

Speak to the Gower brothers at their farm, just south of the Varrock lodestone.



Gower Quest is steeped in the spirit of RuneScape and our 15-year anniversary, so you probably wont be surprised to hear that, this time, something strange is happening to Gielinors cabbages.

Andrew, Paul and Ian could really do with a brave adventurer to come and find out what exactly is going on.

Get plenty more than your five-a-day and earn some neat rewards as you join your fellow Scapers on a bizarre and wondrous journey.

Rewards & Post Quest

When you make it out the other side youll pick up a quest point and some coins, along with a whole host of unique rewards including (but not limited to) the fabulous cabbagemancer outfit and staff, a pet called Crispy (yeah, its a cabbage) and an amazing retro login animation that resembles the well-known RuneScape login screen.

There are more things to discover but well leave that up to you!

Talk to the Gower brothers post quest to get an XP lamp based on the levels of your skills. A different brother will help you based on your levels, but chat to all three anyway because theyre lovely.

Telos Pre-Release Event - Get Ready Now!

Something stirs deep in the heart of Gielinor.

Head to God Wars Dungeon 2 and speak to Soothsayer Sybil in the entrance hub. Collect 4 key fragments by defeating each General once more. Combine the fragments to create the key for a mysterious door.

This door will appear when Telos goes live in game. This is the perfect chance to get a head start on your peers and prepare an immediate assault on the new boss!

Max's chat head now correctly displays the max cape's hood.


Skills, D&Ds & Minigames

Unused Fishing rod-o-matics can now correctly be destroyed.

The Make-x progress bar no longer gets stuck when crafting sagaie shafts with 1 shaft remaining.

Corrected arrow shafts to give the same XP listed in the Make-x interface when Fletching.

The Anti-dragon shield (mole) is no longer listed as members only in the Defence skill guide.

Teleporting from the Barrows sister tomb with Drakan's medallion no longer uses up charges.


Quests, Challenges and Achievements

Players can no longer move a tile and reset the puzzle in Elemental Workshop 3 at the same time.

Fixed a spelling error in Kindred Spirits.


Other

Players with the 15 year anniversary emote can now perform the 2009 variant.


Ninja fixes

The One Piercing Note quest is now available to free players!

Altered Corporeal components acquirement rates from disassembly;

Basic spirit shields now give zero, blessed shields continue to give 1 each as a base

Shield sigils have been increased to provide 3 and fully enhanced spirit shields now give 4 components as a base.

Reduced the size of Coeden's click area.

Increased the click zone for Tirannwn tripwire traps.

Increased the chance to catch Platypodes - at level 48, it has gone from 51.63% chance of success to 78.98%.

Reduced the chance to fail on the Agility handholds during Mourning's End Part II:

At level 58, it has gone from 72.54% chance of success to 84.3%.

At level 70, it has gone from 82.53% chance to success to 90.16%.

Players will still no longer fail at level 91 or above.

The Fremennik are sick of stray gnomeballs hitting their tents. As such, gnomeballs are now banned from the Daemonheim staging area.

The Beasts tab now has a "learn" section for Yakamaru and Beastmaster Durzag.

Some bosses in the Beasts tab have been slightly modified to fix inconsistencies and add any additional rewards that were missing from certain bosses.

NXT will not be updated this week as we are currently working on some rather big fixes for next Monday.

Gower Quest | Maak je klaar voor Telos

Er is een nieuwe F2P quest, deze is gemaakt door de Gower broeders (de oprichters van Runescape). In de quest moet je hun helpen om cabbages te redden!

Je kan je ook al voorbereiden op de release van de nieuwe boss Telos met een pre-release event.

Gower Quest

Je hebt 34 QP nodig om deze quest te doen en je start hem bij de Gowers broeders die in de farm ten zuiden van de Varrock lodestone zijn. Deze quest is in de spirit van het 15 jarige bestaan van RS, dus je zal tal van references vinden.

De rewards van de quest is een quest point en wat coins, een cabbageachtige outfit en staff, een cababge pet en een retro login animation. Je kan na de quest ook een XP lamp halen bij de Gower broers die XP geeft naargelang je level in die skill.

Telos Pre-Release Event

Er is iets nieuws in het hart van Gielinor.

Ga naar GWD2 en spreek met Soothsayer Sybil bij de ingang om te weten wat. Je kan 4 key fragments verzamelen door de 4 generaals in GWD2 te doden. Als je deze combineert krijg je een sleutel voor een mysterieuze deur.

Deze deur wordt zichtbaar wanneer Telos in-game komt. Dus dit is het perfecte moment om al de sleutel te halen zodat wanneer Telos in-game komt je hem meteen kan uitproberen!
