Achievements & New Paths

The epic (and not so epic) feats available in RuneScape are many, and today's update makes the road to adventuring glory clearer than it's ever been.

Enter our new Achievements System, which brings Tasks, Raid Feats and Completionist/Quest Cape requirements and more - together in a slick new interface.

Pull up the Hero interface and click the Achievements tab to start exploring.

Choose your Path

You'll also notice a handy drop-down box in the Achievements tab entitled 'Path'.

Select this and choose from the following goals to see a to-do list of everything you need to achieve it.
  • New Adventurer: Recommended quests for a new player
  • New Combatant: Recommended PvM content for a new player
  • God Wars Dungeon via Trollheim Teleport: A route to GWD1 via Eadgar's Ruse
  • God Wars Dungeon via God Wars Teleport: A route to GWD1 via The Mighty Fall
  • Lunar Spellbook: Path to Lunar Diplomacy
  • Ancient Spells: Path to Desert Treasure
  • Ancient Curses: Path to The Temple at Senntisten
  • The Elven City of Prifddinas: Path to Plague's End
  • Bossing: Bosses in approximate order of difficulty
For new and seasoned adventurers alike, the path to that big in-game milestone will now be crystal clear.

Note that Gudrik's Path System for brand-new players exists separately, still within the Path tab of the Adventures interface. Some of the later parts have been moved to Achievements, however.

Future Feats

As well as being a tidy way to see existing Achievements, the new system is eminently extensible, and you can expect it to be updated regularly with new things to do not least when Menaphos hits this summer.

Patch notes

Skills, D&Ds & Minigames
  • Fixed an issue that caused players to automatically continue mining after a rock has been depleted.
  • The uncut onyx and onyx ring skill guide entries are now consistent with their actual requirements; Onyx rings now require 72 Crafting to make, in line with the level to cut the gem.
Quests, Challenges and Achievements:
  • Added a quest accept screen to Jungle Potion.
  • Jungle Potion no longer requires the Druidic Ritual quest to be completed, only level 3 Herblore.
  • Jungle Potion's Herblore XP reward has been converted to an XP lamp.
  • Added blue box highlighting and tidied up the quest journal, dialogue and interactions of Jungle Potion.
Other
  • Nex's Ice prison attack no longer deals damage after death.
  • Joining a new Nex: Angel of Death instance as the boss dies no longer awards loot.
  • Nex: Angel of Death reavers will no longer damage those outside the arena if not dealt with.
  • A typo on the buff bar filtering interface has been fixed.
  • Buff bar filtering has been inverted on the interface; by default all icons now show up when the checkboxes are unticked, ticking the relevant category's checkbox will hide the relevant icons.
  • Activating berserk blood essence will now display a cooldown buff icon.
  • Nex: Angel of Death curses will now be filtered by the buff bar's prayer category instead of the overhead prayer category.
  • Clan Avatar buff icons are now filtered by the skilling buff bar category instead of the boosts category.
  • All interface presets now correctly save the position of the debuff bar.
  • The tracker used on the 'Defence decrease' buff icon when hitting monsters has been capped to 10.
  • Players will no longer see the Debilitiate buff icon if it happens to miss an enemy.
  • Players will now see a Debilitate debuff icon after being hit in PvP with it.
  • When using Torment, Turmoil or Anguish and draining the enemy, players will now see only one icon on the monster information bar instead of three for each curse, saving space for more combat icons to fill the gaps.
  • The buff icon timer for dreadnips now counts down correctly.
Last week's hotfixes
  • 10/04, 19:30 UTC: Fixed an issue with performing melee weapon special attacks for no adrenaline cost.
  • 12/04, 01:25 UTC: Corrected a check that was giving some players no reward when using autoredeem XP on the first prize won on the Rainbow's End promotion.
  • 12/04, 15:00 UTC: Returned the prizes lost due to the above bug, and added messaging telling eligible players about the reward placed in their bank.
Last week's coldfix (12/04, 13:00 UTC):

Content changes:
  • Re-added the minimise/maximise button onto the action bar in EoC mode.
  • Fixed the size of the revolution highlight on the action bar.
  • The Prifddinas holiday portal will now direct players to the Easter event.
  • The Wise perk?s status icon now displays an accurate percentage.
  • The Reflect icon once again displays a timer.
  • The login message for Lunar Spheres will now only appear if a player has been logged out for over 5 minutes.
NXT client changes:
  • Fixed a crash primarily during cache download but also randomly.
  • Fixed cache download randomly stopping or losing connection.
  • Fixed crash in disk cache.
  • Restored standard OSX full screen button.
  • Removed broken in game full screen option on OSX.
  • Fixed the BOOPY! Noise when typing certain keys in OSX.
  • Entering caves and instances will no longer remove terrain blending options.
  • Added the ability to start NXT from the client executable, fixes issues when having two taskbar icons.
  • Fixed an issue with indefinite loading, black screen on log in and scenery not loading.

Het Achievments System is veranderd! Achievment Dairy tasks, Raid Feats, Comp/Quest Cape Reqs vind je nu terug onder 1 interface.

Deze interface bevind zich op de Achievments tab in de Hero interface.

Nieuwe Paths

In de Achievments tab onder de Hero interface is er nu ook een dropdown menu. Hier kan je de 'Paths' vinden. Dit zijn handige to-do-lists om bepaalde gebieden/unlocks/bosses te kunnen gaan doen.

De nieuwe Paths zijn:
• New Adventurer: Aangeraden Quests voor nieuwe spelers
• New Combatant: Aangeraden PvM content voor nieuwe spelers
• God Wars Dungeon via Trollheim Teleport: Een route naar GWD1 via Eadgar's Ruse
• God Wars Dungeon via God Wars Teleport: Een route naar GWD1 via THe Mighty Fall
• Lunar Spellbook: Path naar Lunar Diplomacy
• Ancient Spells: Path naar Desert Treasure
• Ancient Curses: Path naar The Temple at Senntisten
• The Elven City of Prifddinas: Path naar Plague's End
• Bossing: Bosses in ongeveer de volgorde van moeilijkheid

Het Gudrik's Path System voor nieuwe spelers bestaat nog apart in de Path tab van de Adventures interface. Sommige van de latere delen zijn al wel naar Achievments verhuisd.

In de toekomst zal nog meer naar het nieuwe systeem verhuizen zoals het aankomende Menaphos. Je kan zelf op het Engelse forum/twitter/reddit aangeven wat je ook nog erbij wilt.

Belangrijkste patch notes

• Jungle Potion vereist niet langer meer de Druidic Ritual Quest, enkel level 3 Herblore

• De Herblore XP reward van Jungle Potion krijg je nu in lamp vorm

• De 'Ice Prison' aanval van Nex doet geen damage meer als ze al dood is

• Een nieuwe AOD instance joinen waar ze net sterft laat je niet meer meelooten

• Berserk blood essence heeft nu ook een buff icon

• Je ziet niet meer het Debiliate buff icon als je je target mist

• Je ziet ook een Debiliate debuff icon als je erdoor word gehit in PvP

• Het buff icon voor Dreadnips telt nu correct de tijd af

Ugh, was te denken dat dat niet echt een verbetering ging worden, he. Comp interface is helemaal verandert en moeilijker om nog terug te vinden.

Ja, achievements en overrides zijn echt enorm irritante interfaces geworden. En dat terwijl er niets mis mee was. -.-

Mja, ik zie de meerwaarde tov wat we vroeger hadden totaal niet. Zeker gezien zowat elk ding nu zijn eigen UI en stijl heeft. Allemaal zo slordig.

Dat wel, maar sommige functies zijn wel beter zoals de filters.
