This week we've continued to polish the game, making it all nice and shiny just in time for our first big content update of the year next week. Speaking of which, we've heard your feedback and made a few small changes to War's Retreat. Read on to find out more!

Patch Notes

Among the fixes and changes we've made this week we have the following highlights:
  • Fixed the issue that caused 'gather' buttons on the Player Owned Farms to be greyed out
  • Indirect combat methods can now be used to make progress on Slayer tasks
  • Reduced the distance at which objects will fade out, when close to the camera in free camera mode and cut scenes.
  • Descriptive text has been added to the following items, in order to better explain their new Teleport functions:
    • The Arc Journal
    • Menaphos Journal
    • Globetrotter Arm Guards

War's Retreat Changes

Last week we revealed our new PvM Hub, War's Retreat. If you haven't seen it yet, you can watch the live tour below. Go ahead and look. We'll wait.
All done? Great! As a result of the feedback we received last week, we've made a few changes ahead of the War's Retreat release on January 27th:

Completionist Cape Requirements

We agree that significant chunks of content should have associated Completionist Cape requirements. With that in mind, War's Retreat will now come with four new Achievements.
  • Aura Aura Aura!: Unlock every aura in the War's Retreat store.
  • Relight My Fire: Fully upgrade the campfire in War's Retreat.
To unlock the Completionist Cape, you will need to complete:
  • My Last Resort: Unlock the War's Retreat Teleport, a second Boss Portal, the Altar of War, and the Adrenaline Crystals.
To unlock the trimmed Completionist Cape, you will need to complete the meta Achievement War, What Is It Good For? which you will receive after completing the other three Achievements.

Auras being available ingame

At midnight on January 26th the following auras will be removed from Solomon's General Store and added to the Reward Store in War's Retreat:
  • Vampyrism Aura
  • Dark Magic Aura
  • Berserker Aura
  • Reckless Aura
  • Maniacal Aura
You will keep any auras you have already purchased with Loyalty Points, and they will automatically count towards the Aura Aura Aura! Achievement. Unfortunately, we cannot refund any Loyalty Points spent on these auras.

Extra Reaper Points

This one isn't really a change but rather an addition. From launch of War's Retreat (January 27th) until February 10th, we will apply 50% extra Reaper Points to ALL completed reaper assignments!

This will apply to all assignments, not just the ones you've attuned in War's Retreat portal.

Twitch Prime

Calling all Twitch Prime members, there's a fresh loot to grab! Until February 4th, you can get the Umbral Bow, the Umbral Staff, and the Umbral Cloak, along with every other Umbral Cosmetic you haven't yet claimed. It's a real steal, and all you have to do is link your RuneScape and Twitch Prime accounts.

This week, our featured streamer is Shauny! Join him for a laid-back gielinorian session with a special treat: a talk with ModRamen about the creation of Solak and other projects - LootScape included!

You can now receive in-game loot when you watch a RuneScape streamer. It works exactly the same way as our official streams, just watch Shauny's stream on (his Twitch channel) and you'll receive the LootScape the following day.
