The Elder Kiln
De stad van de TzHaar is in rep en roer. Om redenen die bij de TzHaar-Mej niet bekend zijn, komen er Ga'al uit de eieren in de Birthing Pool: TzHaar zonder de aangeboren herinneringen die nodig zijn om hun traditionele rol in het kastensysteem te vervullen.
In de nieuwste masterquest reis je met één van deze Ga'al naar de vergeten dieptes van de TzHaar-vulkaan, op zoek naar een manier om de herinneringen te geven die hij nodig heeft om in de gemeenschap van de TzHaar geaccepteerd te worden. Je ontmoet de mysterieuze TokHaar en graaft geheimen rond de herkomst van de TzHaar op, die het pad van hun beschaving voorgoed kunnen veranderen.
Praat met TzHaar-Mej-Jeh bij de geboortepoelen in de stad van de TzHaar om The Elder Kiln te beginnen.
Eisen
Beloningen van de quest bestaan uit grote platen met XP, een ring die schade tegen de inwoners van de TzHaar-stad vergroot en een nieuwe titel.

The Fight Kiln
Voor liefhebbers van combat is wellicht de meest spannende beloning de kans om The Fight Kiln in te kunnen, onze hardvochtige nieuwe combat minigame. Hiervoor moet je de quest doen en een fire cape opofferen. Hoewel de opzet met de sologevechten in waves de veteranen van de Fight Caves bekend zal voorkomen, is dit een geheel ander beest. Tijdens de gevechten zullen power up crystals worden gedropt, die vitaal zijn voor je overlevingsstrategie. Het zal het uiterste van je vechtkrachten en tactisch vernuft vergen om de meedogenloze slachtingen van de TokHaar te weerstaan, voordat de eindbaas uit zijn onderaardse sluimer zal ontwaken.
Als je het overleeft, win je het recht om de TokHaar-Kal te dragen, de enige cape in RuneScape met een strengthbonus van 8!

- De eerste keer dat je de Fight Kiln probeert, moet je een fire cape opofferen. Je hoeft dat maar één keer te doen en je kunt voor altijd naar binnen.
Vernieuwing van de TzHaar-soort en de stad
Voor je de reis naar The Elder Kiln begint, moet je eens een kijkje nemen in de stad van de TzHaar. Met een nieuwe quest en combat minigame waren we van mening dat het hoog tijd was dat deze unieke soort een facelift kreeg. We hebben de omgeving van de stad compleet vernieuwd, waarbij het felle oranje door gedetailleerde grotten en steenformaties is vervangen, afwisselend verlicht en met smeulende groeven en bubbelende lavapoelen. We hebben ook grote veranderingen gedaan aan de NPC-modellen. Elke kaste onderscheidt zich, van de lompe TzHaar-Ket tot de uitgemergelde TzHaar-Mej. Elke soort heeft nieuwe animaties, die bij de vernieuwde graphics passen. Alle bewoners van de Fight Cave, inclusief de machtige TzTok-Jad, zijn van een nieuwe verflaag voorzien en het armour dat spelers kunnen dragen (met uitzondering van de fire cape) is vernieuwd om ze in lijn te brengen met de stijl van de vernieuwing. Tot slot moet je eens naar de angstaanjagende spanningen van de muziek uit de omgeving luisteren, die samen met het diepe gerommel van de vulkaan verflauwen en aanzwellen. Luister ook naar de waarlijk gespannen en broeiende vechtmuziek. Ons audioteam heeft zich echt uitgesloofd.

- The Elder Komt heeft een vroegevogelbonus. Als je de quest voor 29 februari doet, krijg je tweemaal de gebruikelijke xp. Je krijgt dus een boek met 50.000 Magic en 30.000 Agility xp, naast 100.000 xp in een combatskill naar keuze! Als je ook nog wave 30 van de Fight Kiln binnen deze periode bereikt, krijg je een extra lamp voor 70.000 xp in een skill naar keuze.
- Ancient effigies worden nu minder snel gedropt. De kans zal verlaagd worden aan de hand van het aantal effigies dat je bij je hebt of op de bank hebt. Als je 5 of meer ancient effigies hebt, krijg je ze niet langer als drops tot je er 4 of minder hebt.
- Als je dat nog niet hebt gedaan, moet je eens een kijkje nemen bij ons nieuwe verhaal uit de Lores and Histories, A Return to Stone, die de magiër Fulmin volgt bij zijn bezoek aan de stad van de TzHaar en voor het eerst Ga'al ontmoet.
- Voorlopig kun je niet langer voor een globale wedstrijd in de Fight Pits zoeken. Onze excuses voor het ongemak. We zullen dit zo snel mogelijk terugzetten.
- Voor de komende twee weken is het theatrical outfit voor de verlaagde prijs van 1.500 loyalty points te koop.
The Elder Kiln
The TzHaar City is in crisis. For a reason unknown to the TzHaar-Mej, the eggs in the Birthing Pool are hatching into Gaal: TzHaar without the inborn memories they need to perform their traditional caste roles.
In our latest Master Level quest, youll travel with one of these Gaal to the forgotten depths of the TzHaar volcano, in search of a way to grant him the memories he needs to become accepted within TzHaar society. Youll meet the mysterious TokHaar, and unearth secrets surrounding the origin of the TzHaar race secrets which may change the course of their civilisation forever.
Where to start The Elder Kiln:
Speak to TzHaar-Mej-Jeh by the Birthing Pools in the TzHaar City.
Requirements:Rewards for this quest include great slabs of XP, a ring that increases damage against the inhabitants of the TzHaar City, and a new title.

The Fight Kiln
For combat fans, perhaps the most exciting reward is the opportunity to enter The Fight Kiln, our brutal new combat minigame, upon completion of the quest and the sacrifice of a fire cape. While the wave-based solo combat format will be familiar to veterans of the Fight Caves, this is a whole different beast. Temporary power-up crystals will drop during the course of the battle, and these will be a vital part of your survival strategy. Itll take every iota of your fighting prowess and tactical cunning to endure the relentless onslaught of the TokHaar, before awakening the final boss from its subterranean slumber.
Should you prevail, youll win the right to wear the TokHaar-Kal the only cape in RuneScape with a +8 strength bonus!
Requirements:
- Available to members only.
- Completed The Elder Kiln.
- The first time you participate in The Fight Kiln, you will need to sacrifice a fire cape. Please note that you will only have to do this once to permanently unlock access.
TzHaar Race and City Rework
Before setting off on your journey to The Elder Kiln, be sure to take a tour of the TzHaar City. With a new quest and combat minigame, we felt that it was high time that this unique race received a facelift. Weve completely reworked the environment of the city, replacing the bright orange crazing with detailed caverns and rock formations, moodily lit with smouldering glyphs and bubbling pools of lava. Weve made huge changes to the NPC models, too. Each caste is now highly distinct, from the lumbering TzHaar-Ket to the gaunt TzHaar-Mej, and each has new animations to go along with their updated graphics. Whats more, all inhabitants of the Fight Caves, including the mighty TzTok-Jad, have received a lick of paint, and all player-wielded gear (with the exception of the fire cape) has been updated to bring it in line with the style of the rework. Finally, be sure to listen out for the eerie strains of ambient music fading in and out over the deep rumble of the volcano, as well as some truly tense and brooding battle music, as our audio team have really gone to town.

- The Elder Kiln will feature the first Early Bird Bonus. If you complete the quest within two weeks of release (before the 29th of February) you'll receive twice the quest XP reward you normally would - so, you'll receive a tome that imparts an extra 50,000 Magic and 30,000 Agility XP, and an extra 100,000 XP in your choice of combat skill! In addition, if you reach wave 30 of The Fight Kiln within the same two weeks you will receive an additional 70,000 XP lamp for your choice of combat skill.
- The drop rate of ancient effigies is now reduced, and will further decrease in accordance with the number of effigies that you have banked or in your inventory. If you have 5 or more ancient effigies, you will no longer receive them as drops until you possess 4 or fewer.
- If you havent already, take a look at our latest Lores & Histories story, A Return to Stone, which follows the mage Fulmin as he visits the TzHaar City and meets the first Ga'al.
- For the immediate future, it will not be possible to search for a global match in the Fight Pits. Apologies for any inconvenience we will bring this feature back as soon as we can.
